First, you and your passenger need to decide which route to take freedom. Heading north to the free states could involve traveling great distances, leaving behind everything, and never returning. If you suggest traveling south to The Great Dismal Swamp, it is only a short distance away but life in the swamp is difficult and could mean being closer to recapture.
What advice would you offer to George, going north or south?
